We’re hiring a broadcast technician

Position: Broadcast Technician

Location: Chepstow, UK

Job Description:

We are seeking an ambitious, skilled and detail-oriented Broadcast Technician to join our UK team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating equipment during live broadcasts, maintaining and troubleshooting broadcasting equipment, and assisting with setup and testing as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside broadcasts, excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced broadcasting environment. Having a great knowledge of a range of sports and how they are shown (or could/should be shown) live on-air would be hugely beneficial, too.

Responsibilities:

* Operate equipment, including cameras, often directly with athletes and officials, before and during live broadcasts

* Assist with setup and testing of equipment before live broadcasts

* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of our equipment

* Collaborate with production team members to ensure smooth execution of live productions

* Test and help develop exciting new solutions for different sports and broadcasts

* Work directly with clients to ensure the smooth delivery of operations

* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in broadcasting technology

* Other reasonable tasks designed to support the company, as required

Qualifications:

* Qualification in broadcasting, media production, or related field preferred, but not essential

* 2+ years of experience working with broadcast equipment in a live production environment

* Proficiency in operating technical equipment and a keen understanding of outside broadcasts in different venues

* Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to think quickly under pressure

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

* Flexibility to work evening or weekend shifts as needed

* Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
