‘You can see by the ears’, with JockeyCam footage

The level of analysis that’s possible with JockeyCam footage was again demonstrated on Sunday as FanDuel TV Racing’s Caton Bredar described the final stages of the Maiden Special Weight race at Churchill Downs in Kentucky.

Caton used JockeyCam’s unique point-of-view perspective to highlight the skills of jockey Luan Machado as he expertly guided Hold My Bourbon to victory despite sitting fifth on the final bend.

“You can see by the ears that the tendency of the horse is to lug in – to go where the other horses are,” said Caton in her analysis.

“Luan has to ride, but also, in a measured fashion, make sure that he keeps hold of the rein, and make sure the horse doesn’t lose contact with him and that direction to go straight.”

Check out the point of view race action and analysis.
